(Name) shook her head. “If I did, I don’t really remember much about the encounter.” She spoke softly. “But if it is a Pokémon that can take away a person’s memory…I guess that wouldn’t be surprising.” She said as she looked up at the two “We should get going if we hope to make it to Mount Coronet before sunset.” She said softly as she stood to head out towards the treacherous mountain.

Red and Green shared a look of understanding before they followed her out. Whatever happened to her memories definitely had something to do with this Pokémon, Darkrai. The two boys made a silent agreement: no matter the cost, they were going to get (Name)’s memories back.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It took a long time for the trio to get to the base of the mountain, especially with a blizzard rapidly approaching. When they had arrived, the mountains looked ominous with dark clouds surrounding it.

“We should set up camp for the night…or at least try to find somewhere that we’ll be warm in while we wait out this blizzard.” (Name) spoke up softly. “Trying to go through Mount Coronet would be suicide if we tried to outrun the blizzard. Our best bet would be to find the ranger’s house that lives nearby.” She said quietly, Green and Red nodding in understanding.

“Do you know where this guy lives, (Name)?” Green asked, pulling his jacket tighter around his body as the air around them suddenly dropped.  “Cause the sooner we find ‘em, the sooner we get warm.” The male spoke as he pulled the collar of his jacket up to protect his ears, Red doing the same as well as pulling his hat down to shield his eyes.

“U-Unfortunately no…but I know someone who might be able to find him!” she said, her teeth chattering as she pulled out a pokeball. “Glaceon!” she called, the blue Pokémon shaking her fur as she sat in the snow. “Gla?” the Pokémon tilted her head to the side, bells dancing from the collar around her neck. “Go find the ranger’s house.” (Name) said, shivering before she was pulled into a warm body, Green’s. The female blushed a bit and silently thanked the cold weather for her cheeks already being red.

“Glaceon!” the Pokémon barked, before turning and trotting away, the bells jingling loudly in the eerie silence. (Name) stepped away from Green, motioning the two boys to follow her, their feet crunching in the snow as they followed the ice type eeveelution. “Glaceon was a gift from the ranger after he saved my life a few years back…” the girl explained. “He lets me use it while I’m travelling because he knew that Glaceon would lead me safely through the mountain’s paths, especially in the snow.” She explained as the smell of fire reached their noses. “We’re almost there.” (Name) smiled, causing Green to stop for a moment, a faint blush settling on his cheeks before he ran to catch up to the girl.

“So wait. This Glaceon isn’t yours?” Green asked astounded by the friendship the girl had with a Pokémon that didn’t belong to her. When he received a nod in affirmation he tilted his head. “Wait….how many Pokémon do you have counting her.” He motioned to the ice type sitting in front of the house.

“I have seven Pokémon counting her, but she normally stays with Professor Juniper because my team and I travel a lot.” She explained, returning the Glaceon once they got to the house. “Since I don’t use Glaceon for battles, the Professor thought it would be fine for me to bring her along, since she usually just sits on my head anyway.” She shrugged it off as she reached up to knock on the door. The ranger on the other side opened the door, preparing to set off. He seemed surprise to have visitors so late in the day.

“(Name)? Come on in before the blizzard starts.” The gruff old man let them in, muttering to himself as he went to get the fire going again. “Typhlosion.” (Name) called her companion as the fire Pokémon blew a few embers on the weak fire to set it ablaze before he jumped up and curled against (Name), who was now seated on the couch wrapped in a blanket from the mountain ranger. The old male nodded, sitting across from the trainers on a rocking chair. “What in Arceus’s name were you doing out there?” he asked, finally breaking the silence.

“We’re investigating Mount Coronet for the legendary Pokémon Darkrai…” she told the male quietly, watching as his face went from confusion to horror.

“You can’t. That Pokémon is dangerous and everyone knows it! The last time you encountered it you nearly died!” he told the female, who blinked owlishly at him.

“Wait. Darkrai and (Name) have met before?” Green asked cautiously.

“Yes. A few years ago, (Name) was here training for the Pokémon League with her Pokémon.” The elderly male began. “She was apparently training inside the mountain, however, when that Pokémon attacked her. Darkrai is said to have lived there but no one’s ever seen it so no one believes it’s actually there.” He explained. “Glaceon was sitting in here when she suddenly jumped to her feet and dashed out. Now normally she would never run off, but she sensed the danger and was gone faster than lightning.” The man chuckled before continuing on. “When Glaceon and I got there, the girl was laying on her stomach, her Pokémon out cold around her and before I could even get close, there was this dark ominous voice that told me she would never remember anything about her past or her meeting with him and then the shadow that was standing in front of her was gone, disappearing into the depths of the cave.” He told them the tale before taking a sip of the hot chocolate in his hands.  “And he wasn’t kidding. When (Name) woke up a few days later, she was in a panic. She didn’t remember her Pokémon or her own name…so I let her stay here and help me for a few weeks as she regained bits and pieces of her memory. Although, it’s funny, she always mentioned two boys that she described looking exactly like the two of you in her dreams. She said she was a little girl and she was crying and that the two of you were there, also younger then now, but she could never remember your names.” The grandfatherly figure stood, patting the sleeping female’s head who was laying on Typhlosion’s back. “She always loved her Pokémon…I’m glad she’s alright.” He murmured before he headed to the kitchen. “Well I have to go do my patrol. You three are welcome here as long as you want and the guest bedrooms are upstairs and to the left.” He said as he got ready to head out, Glaceon appearing from her pokeball and trotting behind him, the two leaving and shutting the door behind them, leaving the three trainers alone.

“So it’s true… (Name) really did get her memories taken by that Pokémon…” Red said, sitting deep in thought on the floor.

“Then we’ll just have to fight Darkrai and make him give them back!” Green snapped from his position beside (Name), the girl sleeping peacefully.

“Green we don’t even know where to find him! It was coincidence that (Name) met him and we’d have to get lucky to meet him and get away without losing our memories as well.” Red told him calmly.

“We can’t just sit here Red! (Name) forgot us because of that Pokemon and I’m determined to get her memories back if it kills me!” he snapped in reply to the black haired male across from him.

“Then we’ll find Darkrai and get them back…but we should wait a couple days to regain our strength and make sure we have the proper supplies.” He told Green calmly as he stood up. “I’m heading to bed…take care of her and don’t do anything stupid.” He muttered as he left, Pika hopping up onto his head. He patted (Name)’s head as he walked by before the two left, heading upstairs and taking one of the four rooms, the first door on the right hand side.
Alright guys, here's chapter 5. Now I have a question. Since I don't have premium membership nor do I enjoy doing polls Would you like chapter 6 to have a lemon chapter as well as a regular one?
